Unwinnable Presents: Eye of the Beerholder Episode 5 - 100XP for not Breaking Kayfabe

October 21st, 2015

This week Stu and Shawn are joined by George Collazo, John McGuire and special guest, actor Daniel Imperiale. DOOM has an exchange with Shawn and then the gents delve into a classic Dungeons & Dragons how-to book sent from our friend Brian Taylor. They move on to Dan Imperiale’s recent Dungeons & Dragons experiences as a bard and some of his recent acting work. The show is then invaded by host of Unlistenable, Charles Moran and then the guys revisit Chuck’s time with the crew before he was expelled. Shawn shows off his recent treasure, the Dungeons & Dragons wallet and then Stu talks about their adventure in the astral plane. Dan asks about Moose Horns and playing in character. Chuck leaves and then they finish up with Dan. DOOM and Shawn compare notes on butter and then sign off.

Unwinnable Presents: Unlistenable Episode 62 - If You Have Ghost

This week we kick the show off with Don and Ken’s review of the the Purson and Ghost show at Terminal 5 in New York City. Gus reminisces about the Hollywood Sportatorium. Chuck defends Terminal 5 against the naysayers. Ken gushes about Ghost and then Gus talks about his new vinyl purchases from Iron Maiden, Christian Mistress and Windhand. We also touch base with the Blood Moon and Gus’ visit with Dennis Scimeca. We see what everyone is playing and talk about Elder Scrolls Online, Destiny, PAC-MAN 256, Sage Solitaire and Hotline Miami. Gus addresses his corrections and then we play Do You Care and lose Ken.

Unwinnable Presents: Eye of the Beerholder Episode 4 - Dub Sirens & Dragons

September 14th, 2015

Stu and Shawn are joined by regular panelists George Collazo and John McGuire and special guests Ian Gonzales and Ed Coleman. DOOM! turns 967 years old and spreads some nasty rumors.Then they kick things off with Ian and Ed’s early Dungeons and Dragons experiences. Ed digs up his childhood memories of meeting Stu, Shawn and George. Ian was banned from playing as a kid due to the Satanic Panic. Ian started with Edition 3.5, loves to be a fighter and likes THAC0. Shawn goes on the hunt for a vintage Dungeons & Dragons wallet after seeing a photo from one of his cohorts. Stu assigns spirit animals using old LJN toys and then Shawn switches gears to a conversation about the worst second edition classes. They wake up DOOM! and then sort through his old spell book to uncover some of his early cave drawings.

DOOM! calls out Shawn Dillon on his pizza challenge and the boys reminisce about their food choices during their Dungeons and Dragons adventures. Stu and Shawn are joined by every edition friend, George Collazo. Shawn gives us a New Jersey history lesson and then we get into radioactive monsters, Spelljammer and 5th Edition. The gents play a game with random monsters picked from the Monster Manual, Fiend Folio and Monster Manual 2 and Shawn Dillon proves that he knows every detail about Dungeons and Dragons monsters. They pick Transposer, the Flumpf and the Piercer. Stu condemns meta gaming in his games. DOOM! closes the show.
